Following are examples of support provided by the Business Partners PowerCell.

General Inquiries

The Business Partners PowerCell can address general questions relating to access to MSP, file transfer capabilities or other basic inquiries, such as:
  • What is my qualifier?
  • What is my client number?
  • How do I get a 3270 connection to this MSP client?
  • How do I get set up to send or receive via EDI?
EDI Controls & Audit Support

Controls and Audit System is LPS' file monitoring and auditing system. While the majority of questions regarding EDI Controls & Audit may be answered at the client's site by accessing this system remotely, the PowerCell is available to answer any questions you might have such as:
  • What time was a specific file transmitted?
  • What is the IP address for this file?
  • Where is this file going?
  • What is the receiving or sending dataset name for this file?
  • What is the record count and byte count for this file?
  • Would you reset my user identification and password for Controls and Audit?
  • What do the segments mean in Controls and Audit (CR/JB/XM/CF)?
InterChange Support

The Business Partners PowerCell provides InterChange support related to connectivity, transmissions using LPS' Tandem platform, dial-up mailboxes and Web-based file transfer (IC Web FTPSecure) and 3270 (IC Web CICS) services. Sample questions might include:
  • Would you check to see if a credit report was returned to my mailbox?
  • How do I get my password reset for IC Web Connect?
  • Can you resend some files through IC Web FTPSecure so I can download them again?
Magnifide Web Services, Passport and MaxMilion Support

Support related to LPS' Magnifide Web Services, Passport and MaxMilion applications is offered to Business Partners who are consumers of these services. Some example questions might be:
  • Can you reset my password to the Magnifide Web Services website?
  • How do I get a particular query using Passport?
  • What is the data field for this MSP information?
  • What does this message mean that appeared while using the MaxMilion search command "Communication error 108"?

PowerCell Telephone System

The PowerCell Telephone System features speech recognition for ease of use and faster service. Below are the speech recognition options available to callers and helpful hints that will enable the PowerCell to identify your call as quickly as possible.

During regular business hours, 8am to 5pm (ET), Monday - Friday ...
  • If you would like to speak with the next available consultant, say "next" or press 1.
  • If you know the Business Partner consultant's name that you want to speak with, you can say their "first name" at any time.
  • If you would like to be connected with your Service Executive for escalation issues, say "Angela" or press 5, 1.
  • If you are calling to declare a disaster or would like to get information on LPS disaster recovery services, say "disaster" or press 8.
  • If you want to speak with the PowerCell Manager, say "Linda" or press 5, 2.
  • For all other inquiries, say "Help," or press zero.
  • If you want to repeat the menu, press star (*).
Outside regular business hours ...
  • Press 1 for After Hours Support or press 2 to leave a voicemail that will be delivered to your PowerCell during regular business hours.
Helpful hints ...
  • The phone system allows Business Partners customers to speak their three-character client number. When speaking your customer number, say each character individually. For example, speak S99 as "S, Nine, Nine" rather than "S Ninety-Nine".
  • Speak your customer name or three-character client number slowly and concisely.
  • If your company name contains the word 'and', be sure to pronounce the "d" at the end of the word "and".
  • If your company name contains an acronym, say the acronym slowly and clearly (for example, 'LPS' is the acronym for LPS Information Services).
  • If the Telephone System does not recognize an abbreviated version of your company name, try speaking your company's full name.
  • When using the speech recognition feature, it is best to speak into your telephone handset receiver rather than use your telephone's speaker function.
  • As with all speech recognition systems, they work best if you speak clearly and keep background noise to a minimum.
  • If you have consistent issues with the Telephone System's speech recognition feature, please advise your PowerCell Consultant.
